Led by former Australian Wallaroos’ Coach, Steve Hamson, our women’s team, affectionately known as the Lionesses, have gone from strength to strength and continue to grow year on year.

Our women’s team has players from all walks of life, students to mothers, electricians to nurses and everything in between. This group of women come together each round to compete in the Westfund Ferguson Cup, Central West Rugby Union’s Premier Women’s Competition.

The Orange City Lionesses is more than a team—it’s a sisterhood fuelled by passion, grit, and the drive to compete. Our players give their all, every game, every time. Whether you’re experienced and looking to join a competitive team, a newcomer to rugby and want to give it a go or simply to cheer on some inspiring women, Orange City is the place to be.
